HOW DOES THE ARTIFICIAL WOMB WORK?-

   The artificial womb also know as the artificial uterus is a device that allows for extracorporeal pregnancy (situated or occurring outside the body) or extrauterine (a pregnancy situated outside of the lining of the uterus) fetal incubation (EUFI) by growing an embryo or fetus outside of the body of an organism that would normally internally carry the embryo or fetus to a full term pregnancy. The purpose of the artificial womb is that it will help with births of babies or other oragnisms that were born prematurely.

    

  It provides nutrition, oxygen to the blood and removing the carbon dioxide. Researcher have created an artificial womb known as the biobag. It is a plastic bag filled with amniotic fluid in order to obtain the same environment as the mother’s uterus.
